The concept of my work this semester is to base my experimental work on different types of destruction. For example, doused in acid, slashed with knives, smashed stained glass windows, sculptures blown up and other forms of vandalism.
From researching this I will then have to experiment with make-up techniques and discover how I can show different types of destruction as make-up in my final images.
One idea I have so far – is to burn one of my final images to produce a new charred image. Setting fire to my final image is an idea I got from my visit to the Tate Gallery in Liverpool. I saw a photograph of pop-star David Bowie which had been set on fire, the photo has been destroyed by burning the eyes and mouth. The image is re-photographed and the new picture is another work of art, becoming the new final image.
